Bring Real-World STEM to Your Classroom with eCYBERMISSION!
eCYBERMISSION is a free, virtual STEM competition for 6th-9th grade students that promotes teamwork, self-discovery, and the real-life applications of STEM. Students work in teams of two to four, with the help of an adult Team Advisor, to choose a problem in their community to explore with science or solve with engineering. Registration is now open, click the link below to learn more and register today!
Why eCYBERMISSION?
eCYBERMISSION is completely free, completely online, and completely fun! As a Team Advisor, you assist your teams in choosing a problem in their community to explore with science or solve with engineering. With eCYBERMISSION, your students will experience STEM firsthand, work on team building, and compete for state, regional, and national awards that may be used for future education. eCYBERMISSION students have applied for and received patents, expanded their projects into businesses, and even become the first ever TIME’s “Kid of the Year”.
eCYBERMISSION is Made for Classrooms like Yours
eCYBERMISSION was designed with educators in mind. Our Team Advisor Help Center is full of free resources like lesson plans, video lessons, rubrics, timelines, and activity sheets that make including eCYBERMISSION in your classroom, school, or program simple and easy. You’ll be supported throughout the process by our eCYBERMISSION staff, and your students will have access to our CyberGuide mentors, real scientists and engineers that provide technical support. eCYBERMISSION supports Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core connections, and various state connections.
eCYBERMISSION Mini-Grant Program
The eCYBERMISSION Mini-Grant program provides funding to support educators as they implement eCYBERMISSION into their classrooms and schools. Applying is easy via our three-step, online application process, which includes:
1. Your contact and school information
2. Your anticipated number of students
3. Your goals for the grant
There are no application essays and applying takes less than ten minutes. The grant value is based on the number of students who complete registration and submit projects, as well as selection criteria, and comes in the form of two payments. The first payment goes to the school to assist with the cost of project supplies and the second payment goes to the Team Advisor as a coaching stipend.
